CLuB Presents at the 26th International Charles Heidelberger Symposium on Cancer Research at Queen’s University Belfast

On 2nd October 2024, CLuB’s Northern Ireland Lead Investigator, Professor Paul Mullan, delivered a talk on “The development of novel liquid biopsy assays for the improved clinical management of poor outcome cancers" at the 26th International Charles Heidelberger Symposium on Cancer Research at Queen’s University Belfast.

The Symposium is a prestigious event dedicated to honouring the legacy of Dr. Charles Heidelberger, a cancer chemotherapy and carcinogenesis pioneer.

Mr Michael Ryan

Mr. Michael Ryan, a PhD candidate at CLuB, showcased his poster titled “In Vitro Modeling of Ovarian Cancer Cell Lines for the Development of Novel Liquid Biopsy Tests” at the symposium. Additionally, Dr. Syed Umbreen, a post-doctoral researcher at CLuB, gave a presentation on “Using Organoids as Patient Avatars to Support the Development of Liquid Biopsy-Based Assays.”
