CLuB Annual Symposium 2024
On October 11th, 2024, the All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB) hosted its Annual Symposium at Queen’s University Belfast. The event showcased the collaborative efforts of the consortium partners in cancer research and included scientific and lay presentations from CLuB-funded researchers. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions on recent advancements in the field.
Dr. Dominic Rothwell (University of Manchester) and Dr. Richard Turkington (Queen’s University Belfast) delivered the keynote talks on the day, providing valuable perspectives from leading experts. The event also featured a public symposium that focused on liquid biopsies, which aimed to bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding, highlighted by insights from PPIE Panel Member Mrs. Gemma Ward.
Professor Lorraine O’Driscoll, Founder and Lead Investigator of CLuB, concluded the day with remarks that tied together the discussions and findings from both Symposiums.
