Public & Patient Involvement Training Workshop - Hybrid Event

CLuB Project Manager Ms Dominique Plant with CLuB Co-Investigator Dr Sharon O’Toole

On May 16th, 2024, the All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB) with the Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology Public and Patient Involvement Group (ISGOPPI) hosted an afternoon training session for Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) in the Aisling Hotel, Dublin.

The first session of the afternoon focused on Clinical Trials and was delivered by Lucy Murphy from Cancer Trials Ireland. This was followed by a session on "The top 10 ten things you need to know to do PPI successfully" by Michael Foley from Trinity College Dublin.

The event successfully addressed some of the training needs of the PPIE community and offered an opportunity for fellow PPIE participants to meet and converse with each other. CLuB received very positive feedback from all those in attendance and is looking forward to organising more PPIE events in the future.
